Day 1
Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel and meet your local tour manager. After a short break you’ll begin a walking tour of the city. You’ll start with a walk down St. Catherine Street through Montreal’s great shopping area and then you’ll head past McGill University. There you’ll enter Montreal’s “Under Ground City.” This network of tunnels connects shops, residences and transportation throughout this part of downtown Montreal to protect people from the harsh winter weather. You’ll exit near by the financial district and Chinatown and then continue to the Old City. There you’ll see the City Hall, Place Jacque Cartier and the Old Port. You’ll then continue in the Old City to the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral. Admission to enter and see this impressive church is included. After the tour you’ll have some free time to explore. In the evening you’ll have dinner at a French Restaurant in the Old City and then you’ll enjoy some ice skating before heading back to your hotel.
Day 2
This morning you’ll have breakfast and then take a ride to St. Joseph’s Oratory. You’ll see this popular site for religious pilgrimages. It is the largest basilica in Canada and the second largest domed basilica in the world – second to St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Next you’ll continue to the Park at Mont Royal where you’ll see a fantastic view of the city from the Chalet. After your visit you’ll continue to the Biodome. This structure houses four different Canadian ecosystems with plant and animal life from each. You’ll pass from the Laurentian Forest to the rivers and the rain forest and through the Artctic seeing tapyrs, birds, fish beavers and more. After your visit you’ll head to St. Catherine Street for some free to shop and have lunch. In the evening you’ll have dinner on Prince Arthur Street and then you’ll enjoy a game of Laser Tag.
Day 3
This morning you’ll visit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. After your visit you’ll head over to Rue St. Denis to stroll by the shops and cafes and have lunch. In the afternoon you’ll depart for home.
