Daily Itinerary
Upon arrival in Williamsburg you will meet your Tour Manager.
After lunch, you’ll take a guided tour of Jamestown Settlement, where the story of the people who founded Jamestown and of the Virginia Indians they encountered is told through film, gallery exhibits, and living history.
You’ll take a self-guided tour of the Yorktown Battlefield, the site of the last major battle of the Revolutionary War. In the fall of 1781, General George Washington, with allied American and French forces, besieged General Charles Lord Cornwallis’s British army. On October 19, Cornwallis surrendered, effectively ending the war and ensuring independence.
After dinner, you’ll take a walking ghost tour, where your guide will lead you through the streets of Colonial Williamsburg by candlelight while sharing eerie and fun folklore of this very old city.
You’ll arrive at your hotel in Williamsburg and check in.
After breakfast You’ll visit Busch Gardens, a theme park in every sense of the term and a place where fun comes naturally. Busch Gardens has a classic European theme, like the Parisian streets of France, the hamlets of Scotland and the Oktoberfest celebrations of Germany. In all, there are nine villages centered around six countries for you to explore. The Park is filled with one of the best collections of world-class roller coasters and live entertainment for everyone. In addition to the fun, Busch Gardens is a place for learning about nature. You’ll learn about conservation and the animals in our care. You can see Bald Eagles, Clydesdale horses and gray wolves, and we hope that when you visit your appreciation for nature will grow.
After dinner, you’ll participate in an evening program at Colonial Williamsburg.
After breakfast you’ll take a three hour guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg with costumed interpreters throughout. Here you’ll see the restored and reconstructed historic area of a small city that was founded in 1632, designated capital of the English colony in 1698 and was eventually a center of political activity during the American Revolution. During your tour, you’ll have a chance to experience colonial life. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Governor’s Palace and Museums.
After lunch you will board your bus and travel home.
