Daily Itinerary
Upon arrival in Chicago, you’ll meet your Tour Manager.
You will visit the Art Institute of Chicago. This Classical Renaissance structure, guarded by two bronze lions at its entrance, boasts one of the world’s great art collections, including the trademark “American Gothic.”
You will experience the beauty of Chicago is on a sightseeing architecture river tour. This 60-minute tour takes you past dozens of world-renowned buildings, including Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building, Marina City, Trump Tower and Willis (Sears) Tower. Shoreline’s professional and entertaining guides will enthrall you with the stories behind these and dozens of other Chicago landmarks.
After dinner, you will enjoy spectacular views spanning up to four states from atop the Chicago Skydeck.
You’ll arrive at your hotel and check in.
After breakfast, you’ll board your bus and depart the hotel for the day.
You will enjoy live science experiences at the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere at the Museum of Science and Industry
You’ll visit the new McDonald’s mothership restaurant in Chicago. You’ll get to sample a unique McDonald’s menu while you sit and watch the action out on the street from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows that wrap around the building. This McDonald’s is an one-of-a-kind experience.
After lunch, you’ll visit the Field Museum. It is one of America’s premier natural history museums. The Field’s “Live over Time” exhibit now houses “Sue,” the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered.
You will visit the Shedd Aquarium, the largest indoor aquarium in the world, with more than 8,000 aquatic animals.
After dinner, you will explore Navy Pier. Located on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops in addition to unequaled recreational and exhibition facilities – in a setting like no other!
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel room and board your bus for the day.
For two hours you’ll take a guided tour on your bus and… EXPERIENCE…Chicago as it was during the 1920s and 30s! SEE…the old gangster hot spots and hit spots! You will see stars at the Adler Planetarium. The Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum in Chicago, Illinois was the first planetarium built in the Western Hemisphere and is the oldest in existence today.
You’ll board your bus and begin the return trip home.
