Visit Schönbrunn Palace, a grand, Baroque palace built as a summer residence for the Habsburgs. Designated as a World Cultural Heritage Site, Schönbrunn is the most-visited attraction in Austria. Another shining example of Habsburg-era architecture is the Belvedere Palace, which now houses the Belvedere Museum. The Belvedere Palace grounds include decorative tiered fountains and cascades, Baroque sculptures, and wrought iron gates. At Domgasse 5, the apartment residence of composer Wolfgang Amadéus Mozart from 1784 to 1787, you’ll find Mozarthaus Vienna, which presents the life and work of the musical genius. Student musicians will discover more world-class music history with a tour of the Vienna State Opera. Located in the center of the city, the Vienna State Opera is considered one of the most important opera houses in the world.
