Daily Itinerary
Upon arrival in New York City, you will meet your Tour Manager.
After lunch, you will visit the American Museum of Natural History and see an IMAX film there. The museum has 42 permanent exhibits covering everything in creation from the beginning of time to the present, every discipline of human science: biology, ecology, zoology, geology, astronomy, and anthropology. The Rose Center for Earth and Space is an ultra modern building with a theatre and exhibits.
You’ll visit Central Park. You’ll see the Imagine Memorial to John Lennon at Strawberry Fields, the Bethesda Fountain, the Boathouse, the Mall, Sheep Meadow and the Wollman Ice Rink.
You’ll head down Fifth Avenue to see some of the famous stores and boutiques. You’ll see Apple’s flagship store and the Plaza Hotel (featured in “Home Alone 2”) and then down Fifth Avenue past Tiffany’s and more.
After dinner, you’ll head up to the 86th floor observatory of the Empire State Building where you will enjoy a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline.
After breakfast, you’ll depart on the Ferry for Ellis Island where you’ll have fantastic views of the Statue of Liberty and a chance to visit the Immigration Museum. Ellis Island served as the main port of entry for European immigrants arriving in the US between 1892 and 1924. Today over 100 million Americans can trace their lineage to a relative that passed through Ellis Island on their way to America.
You’ll walk up through the financial district past the famous “Charging Bull,” past Trinity Church and the New York Stock Exchange and then up to the World Trade Center.
After lunch, you’ll arrive at the 9/11 Memorial located in the footprint of the former Twin Towers. The memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.
You will head to the Brooklyn Bridge. You can walk across and see the fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline from the walking path and also from Brooklyn Bridge Park on the other side of the bridge. If weather or time does not permit, you can walk midway across and still see the amazing views.
You’ll visit Chinatown and Little Italy where you’ll have some free time to explore and shop.
After dinner, you’ll see a Broadway show.
After breakfast, you’ll take a self-guided tour of the New York Hall of Science, a renowned science museum located in Queens, New York City. It offers an engaging and interactive experience for visitors of all ages, with over 450 hands-on exhibits and installations exploring various aspects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). From interactive displays on physics and biology to immersive exhibitions on cutting-edge innovations, the New York Hall of Science provides a captivating journey into the world of scientific discovery.
After lunch, you’ll take a self-guided tour of the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens. This museum is the country’s only museum dedicated to the art, history, technique, and technology of the moving image in all its forms. The Museum is a one-of-a-kind destination for audiences of all ages and interests, from connoisseurs of classic cinema to children and families to avid gamers.
You’ll board your bus and begin the return trip home.
