Daily Itinerary
You’ll depart on your flight.
You will arrive at your hotel and check into your rooms.
You will have dinner at a typical restaurant near your hotel.
You will have lunch at a typical restaurant on your way to the Arenal Volcano Area.
Your driver will pick you up from the airport in your comfortable bus.
You will meet your tour manager outside the international airport in Costa Rica.
You’ll have breakfast at your hotel.
You’ll visit an agro-educational farm where you’ll learn about the challenges and joys of sustainable farming. This is an educational center and a model for sustainable agriculture that motivates farmers and gardeners from around the world to change their practices.
During your tour, you’ll collect produce that you’ll taste later in a delicious lunch served at the same farm.
You will visit an Animal Rescue Center where you will have the opportunity to learn about tropical wildlife, their dangers, and how you can help them.
You will have dinner at a typical restaurant.
You’ll have breakfast at your hotel.
You’ll hike in the community reserve to learn more about the ecology of the area. Your hike will end at a beautiful waterfall where you’ll have the opportunity to swim and refresh.
You will participate in a cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare a traditional Costa Rican dish and then share lunch as a group.
You will enjoy a soak in the hot springs heated by volcanic action of the Arenal Volcano.
At the springs, you’ll have a delicious family style home cooked dinner.

You’ll check out of your hotel room and load your luggage into your private bus.
You will go on a natural history hike to discover the wonderful secrets of this rain forest. One of the benefits of having the guidance of a specialist is their wide knowledge of the species that inhabit the reserve, which allows the guest to observe more species both in the canopy and on the forest floor. You will travel on several hanging bridges that will give you a new point of view of this amazing forest.

You will go on a guided natural history hike in the reserve. La Selva Biological Station is one of the premier ecology research stations in all of Costa Rica and one of the first private protected areas in the country. It’s location between two major rivers in the Caribbean lowlands of northern Costa Rica provides a great place for biodiversity to thrive. With some of the most pristine old growth tropical rainforest in Costa Rica, it offers a unique combination of pristine ecology and expert naturalist guides. There is no better place in Costa Rica to learn about this endangered ecosystem.
You will have lunch at the biological station’s cafeteria where researchers from all over the world gather to socialize while they are doing research at La Selva.
You’ll go with your tour manager on a natural history hike in another private reserve in the same area.
You will have dinner at a local restaurant.
You’ll have breakfast at your hotel.
You’ll check out of your hotel room and load your luggage in your bus.
You will drive to the splendid La Paz Waterfall Gardens, located on the slopes of the Poás Volcano. This area is rich in biodiversity thanks to an altitude of that varies between 4,000 and 5,000 feet, allowing for both cloud forest and rain forest to co-exist. You will find one of the largest and best butterfly observatories in the world and a feeline exhibit. The hummingbird garden is home to twenty four species of these vibrantly colored little creatures. Next, take a stroll through the exotic Orchid garden and into the Frog Pond. Here you’ll find frogs like the poison dart frog and green leaf frogs. The Serpentarium hosts thirty different species of snakes found all over Costa Rica. You’ll finish the visit with a 2 mile hike near several waterfalls.The platforms along the trail afford you the luxury of viewing the waterfalls from above, below, and center while being misted by its spray.
You will return to the hummingbird garden area to the restaurant for a buffet lunch.
You will check in to your rooms at your hotel near the International Airport.
You’ll share laughs and memories as you celebrate your time shared together in Costa Rica with a farewell dinner. For dinner you’ll enjoy a delicious feast of local delicacies and be treated to some special entertainment unique to Costa Rica.

Today your Costa Rica adventure comes to a close as you depart for your flight back to the US.
You’ll check out of your hotel room and head to the airport for your return trip home.
