Program Summary
From expansive deserts to subtropical rainforests, from penguin-inhabited glaciers to flourishing vineyards, from sky-scraping mountain peaks to buzzing metropolitan cities; Argentina is a country full of intrigue and contrasts! During your environmental science trip to Argentina you’ll see first-hand how deforestation and pollution are the main threats to Argentina’s biodiversity and how they are learning to combat these issues.

Daily Itinerary
You’ll depart on your flight to Buenos Aires, to start your adventure!
Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Tour Manager at the airport and then be transported to your accommodations.
Once you have arrived, you’ll have a welcome lunch, a traditional barbeque “Asado” at or near your lodging.
During the afternoon you will have a short orientation session at your lodging.
This evening you’ll have free time to explore.
This morning you will have a second short orientation session.
You’ll then have a full day guided tour of Buenos Aires.
After exploring Buenos Aires, you’ll take a break from the tour for lunch (not included).
Once you’re done with the tour you’ll have dinner on your own (not included).
Today you’ll start the day off with a 4-hour classroom session.
After class you’ll have lunch on your own (not included).
In the afternoon you will meet with an Environmental Engineer.
During the early evening you will depart for La Rioja.
After your overnight journey, you’ll arrive at your accommodations mid-day in La Rioja. You’ll then have lunch on your own (not included).
After lunch you will have free time to explore the city.
Once you’re done exploring you’ll have dinner on your own (not included).
Today you will visit a wind farm.
You’ll have lunch on your own (not included).
You’ll have dinner on your own (not included).
This morning you will have free time to explore the city.

After lunch you’ll depart for Buenos Aires.
You’ll arrive at your destination in Buenos Aires mid-morning.
Once you’re all settled, you’ll have lunch on your own (not included).
After lunch you will have free time. You will have the chance to take an optional chocotorta cooking class.

Today you will have a 4-hour classroom session.

Next, you’ll then have the chance to take an optional maté class and tasting.

This morning you will meet with a specialist in Alternative Energy Sources.

After lunch you will have free time. You’ll have the chance for an optional museum visit.
Afterwards, you’ll have dinner on your own (not included).
