Daily Itinerary
Bask in the splendor of the active volcanoes, hike through the breathtaking rainforest, immerse in the presence of a magnificent waterfall, spend the day enjoying the sun and waves at the brilliant beaches and learn about Polynesian culture and U.S. history. Whatever your interests, the adventures abound in Hawaii.
Today you’ll start your Hawaii adventure to make unforgettable memories. Upon arrival, you will meet your Tour Manager and head to your hotel. This afternoon you’ll have free time to visit the beach or explore the area.
Tonight you will enjoy a traditional Hawaiian Luau.
This morning, you will enjoy a kayaking excursion! After your adventure, you will pack up your bus and journey to Hilo.
This afternoon, you will visit Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, one of the most famous black sand beaches. The black sands come from the constant volcanic activity nearby. You’ll see this amazing, palm frond shoreline and you may even glimpse some Hawaiian Green Turtles that bask on the beach.
This evening, you will visit the Imiloa Astronomy Center which offers a fascinating bridge between science and culture and where the world’s greatest collection of astronomical observatories are housed.
You’ll start your day by heading to Volcanoes National Park where you will see the world famous Kilauea Volcano which has been steadily erupting since the 1980’s. You’ll take a tour of the Park and then a small hike along a portion of the Kilauea Iki trail down through Thurston Lava Tube and back.
Afterwards, you’ll board your bus and head out to Puna Rainforest where you’ll have an opportunity to swim in the volcanic heated pools.
At night, you’ll see the lava glow at the Halema’uma’u Crater if conditions allow.
After breakfast, you will take a sightseeing tour north of Hilo including Rainbow Falls, Onomea Bay Scenic Drive and Akaka Falls.
This evening your Hawaii adventures come to a close as you head to the airport for your overnight trip home.
You will arrive home today.
