Spend three days in Nashville, the “Music City” and two days in Memphis, the birthplace of Rock and Roll and home to the Blues. Learn about the origins of blues, rock and roll and its influence on our country with visits to The Grand Ole Opry and Graceland and other museums. You’ll also have an opportunity to perform in public with your group.

You’ll perform at the Opry and Graceland bring a little history, a little country and a little rock ‘n’ roll to your classroom! With ETA, Nashville & Memphis can be your next big adventure!

Upon arrival in Nashville, you will meet your Tour Manager and head straight for the Country Music Hall of Fame. The mission of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is to identify and preserve the evolving history and traditions of country music and to educate its audiences. Functioning as a local history museum and as an international arts organization, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum serves many audiences including fans, students, scholars, and members of the music industry.

You’ll have dinner at the Wildhorse Saloon. The Wildhorse Saloon turned a three-level historic warehouse into a 66,000 square foot live music and dance destination. The Wildhorse Saloon is Nashville’s #1 Dining and Entertainment destination and a mecca of entertainment in America!

After breakfast, you’ll visit The Hermitage and learn how these 1000 acres changed from frontier forest to Andrew Jackson’s prosperous farm securing it’s place in American history.

You’ll take a self guided tour of the Ryman Auditorium, a National Historic Landmark and must see for anyone visiting Nashville. Most famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 — 1974, its history as Nashville’s premier theater and central gathering place started even before construction was complete in 1892.

There’s nothing like a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry House – it’s a must-see for everyone in Music City! Walk in the footsteps of country music’s superstars and get an exclusive look at what happens behind the scenes of the show that made country music famous! Your knowledgeable guide will share stories about the Opry and country music greats, past and present, show you photos from the Opry’s biggest moments in history and take you to the artist entrance – where legends, new artists, and superstars alike enter the Opry House on the night of an Opry show.

This evening you will have dinner and see a show at the Grand Ole Opry.

This morning you’ll take a guided tour of RCA Studio B. Historic RCA Studio B is one of the world’s most important and successful recording studios. More than 35,000 songs were brought to life by the Studio B magic, including more than 1,000 American hits, 40 million-selling singles, and over 200 Elvis Presley recordings (by far more than any other studio). Step into the house of the hitmakers and discover the legend of this Music Row landmark.

Next, you’ll visit the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee. This full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. Today the Parthenon, which functions as an art museum, stands as the centerpiece of Centennial Park,

After lunch, you’ll begin your drive from Nashville to Memphis and feast on some of the best BBQ in Memphis.

This morning you’ll take a tour of Graceland. Take an unforgettable journey through the most famous rock ‘n’ roll residence in the world. Explore the personal side of Elvis Presley and learn how his revolutionary style and unique sound changed the face of popular music and culture forever.

You’ll perform in a public area at Graceland or another similar venue.

After lunch, you’ll take a tour of Sun Studios. Reputedly the first rock-and-roll single, Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats’ “Rocket 88” was recorded there in 1951 with song composer Ike Turner on keyboards, leading the studio to claim status as the birthplace of rock & roll.

You’ll have free time to explore the exciting downtown Memphis area and Beale Street.

This morning you’ll visit the National Civil Rights Museum. The Museum exists to assist the public in understanding the lessons of the Civil Rights Movement and its impact and influence on human rights movements worldwide through its collections, exhibitions, research and educational programs.

After lunch, you’ll board your bus, or head to the airport, to begin the return trip home.
