Dallas trip with a performance masterclass
Upon arrival to Dallas you will head straight to warm ups and your performance in the Dallas Wind Symphony Invitational Windband Festival. This unique event offers your band program the opportunity to experience performing in Dallas’ landmark Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center; be adjudicated in a revolutionary new format that enhances the educational experience for your students; and receive a digital quality recording of your band in one of the finest recording environments available!
After your performance you will have a celebratory dinner. You will head to the world famous Hard Rock Cafe. This new cafe has 8,900 square feet of space and features memorabilia from rock and roll legends!
After breakfast, you’ll get a better understanding of the work involved in creating a symphonic concert as you will have a behind-the-scenes experience with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO). You will be greeted by the DSO’s Educational Director and given a tour. During the tour you will learn fascinating features of the building, the artists and the music.
Next, you will also have the amazing opportunity to participate in a Master Class with some of the most respected artists in classical music today.
After lunch, you’ll have free time for shopping at a local Dallas mall.
You’ll enjoy dinner and a show at Medieval Times. As you thrill to a rousing live jousting tournament, marvel at awe-inspiring horsemanship and falconry, Medieval Times serves a four-course meal fit for royalty!
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy some of the most gut wrenching, pulse pounding rides and entertainment at Six Flags Over Texas. This particular Six Flags was the very first built, and has over 212 acres of theme park adventures!
Your trip comes to a close as you board your bus, or head to the airport, to begin the return trip home.
