Daily Itinerary
You’ll depart in the morning for your flight to San Francisco. Upon arrival, you’ll meet with your Tour Manager and load your bags on the bus.
For your first activity of the day you’ll head down to the pier and take the ferry over to Alcatraz. Here you’ll have a self-guided audio tour of the infamous little island known as The Rock.
When you return, you’ll take a ride on the cable car over to Union Square, where you’ll have some free time for lunch and shopping.
You’ll then head to the de Young Museum. This museum showcases American art from the 17th through the 21st centuries, international contemporary art, textiles, and costumes, and art from the Americas, the Pacific and Africa.
In the late afternoon you’ll head back to your downtown hotel for check in and a break.
In the evening you’ll have dinner and then free time at Fisherman’s Wharf.
You’ll have breakfast at the hotel and begin your day.
This morning you’ll take a guided city sightseeing tour where you’ll visit the Civic Center, Union Square, Coit Tower, Haight-Ashbury, Chinatown, Nob Hill, Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies, Twin Peaks, Lombard Street, Fisherman’s Wharf and more.
You will then break for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll go to the California Palace of the Legion of Honor. The Legion of Honor displays a collection spanning more than 6,000 years of ancient and European art and houses the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts in a neoclassical building overlooking Lincoln Park and the Golden Gate Bridge.
You will then head back to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. In the evening you’ll enjoy a dinner and a show – The Dinner Detective San Francisco!
You will have breakfast and check out of the hotel.
You will leave your bags at the hotel and begin your final day of touring at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The museum holds an internationally recognized collection of modern and contemporary art and was the first museum on the West Coast devoted solely to 20th century art. The museum’s current collection includes over 26,000 works of painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts.
After lunch, you will to take a tour at the Asian Art Museum.
From there, you will go over to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The YBCA features visual art, performance, and film/video that celebrate local, national, and international artists and the Bay Area’s diverse communities. The center has been used for the launch of new products by Apple Inc., including iPods and the iPad.
In the evening, you will head to the airport for your return flight home.
