Seattle has played a critical role in American culture as the birthplace of grunge, home to the world famous Starbucks coffee, a hotbed for green technologies, and the location of more than 150 listings in the National Register of Historic Places. Daily Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Seattle, you’ll meet your Tour Manager and head to your first stop: Pike Place, Seattle’s beloved public market! Within the nine acre Market historic district is a daily crafts market, which features the quality work of 225 craftspeople, and more than 200 unique owner-operated shops and services. There are also more than 80 restaurants within the Market.
Next, you’ll tour Seattle by sea on a harbor cruise. Enjoy a narrated 1-hour sightseeing tour of Seattle’s vibrant and historic harbor, with never-ending skyline views of the city, the Space Needle, and Mt. Rainier.
This morning you’ll have breakfast at your hotel before visiting the Future of Flight Aviation Center. Here you’ll take the Boeing Backstage Tour, where you’ll get a one-of-a-kind opportunity to view current jets being assembled on the Everett production line before they take to the sky.
Next, you’ll head to the north end of the George Washington Memorial Bridge (also known as the Aurora Bridge). An unexpected creature has taken up residence here: an enormous troll! Clutching a Volkswagen Beetle as if it had just swiped it from the roadway above, this colossal mixed media statue beneath the bridge has become known as the Fremont Troll.
After lunch, you’ll enjoy a tour of Century Link Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks!
Enjoy the city from another perspective on the Seattle Great Wheel, the largest observation Ferris wheel on the West Coast. The Seattle Great Wheel extends nearly 40 feet beyond the pier over Elliott Bay.
After breakfast this morning, you’ll visit the Pacific Science Center, which features six acres of hands-on science fun, two IMAX theaters, a tropical butterfly house, live science stage shows, a laser dome and much more!
You’ll return to Pike Place Market and the surrounding area to have lunch and free time for shopping.
This afternoon you’ll experience Seattle’s Underground Tour, a historic guided walking tour beneath Seattle’s sidewalks and streets. As you roam the subterranean passages that once were the main roadways and first-floor storefronts of old downtown Seattle, guides will regale you with the stories our pioneers didn’t want you to hear. It’s history with a twist!
After breakfast, you’ll visit a museum like no other on earth. The Museum of Pop Culture houses some of the world’s most legendary pop culture artifacts. Hands-on experiences, iconic artifacts, and award-winning exhibitions featuring luminaries in the fields of music, literature, television, and film make the Museum of Pop Culture a destination unlike any other.
Last but not least, take an elevator ride 520 feet above the city to the observation deck of Seattle’s signature building, the Seattle Space Needle. Enjoy spectacular views of the city and its surrounding area. Once you descend, your Seattle trip comes to a close as you begin your return trip home.
