Daily Itinerary
Today you’ll start your adventure to Niagara Falls. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Tour Manager head to your first stop: Clifton Hill. Situated in Canada near Niagara Falls and the Niagara River, this street connects River Road on the Niagara Parkway to Victoria Avenue. It features a variety of gift shops, wax museums, haunted houses, video arcades, restaurants, hotels, and themed attractions.
See the raging currents. Hear the deafening thunder. And feel the refreshing mist of 600,000 gallons of water falling before your eyes every second. Experience it all aboard the world famous Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This legendary Niagara Falls boat tour takes you as close as possible to the thundering roar, awesome power, and amazing mist of the Mighty Falls!
You’ll Journey Behind the Falls where elevators descend 150 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead to viewing portals behind the massive sheet of water, then on to the Upper and Lower Observation decks at the foot of the Falls.
Next, you’ll see the Niagara Falls Imax. The larger-than-life Niagara Falls IMAX® Experience brings reality to life on a screen over six stories high. With 12,000 watts of floor shaking digital surround sound, when you visit the IMAX Theatre in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, you’ll feel like you’re there.
The Welland Canal is a ship canal in Ontario, Canada, connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie and it is one of the world’s greatest man made wonders. From the elevated viewing platform at Lock 3, you will get a close-up look at ships from around the world and experience the wonder of the Welland Canal Locks. Ships transit the Canal regularly from April to December.
This morning you will take a drive and make your first stop to see the Niagara Whirlpool. The Spanish Aerocar has been in operation since 1916 and travels above the great gorge where the Niagara River abruptly changes direction and creates a wild torrent of water forming a whirlpool. You will make a stop here for pictures and then continue your drive to the Floral Clock. This unique attraction is photographed almost as much as the falls! It is 40 feet wide and the face is filled with 15,000 to 20,000 carpet plants and colorful annuals planted in unique and intricate designs.
You will visit the hydro-electric generating station along the Niagara River. The Power Vista is located atop the hydro project’s main power plant. The center first opened in 1963, two years after the Niagara project began operations and it features more than 50 exhibits and an observation deck. You will enjoy the hand-on experience as you learn about hydroelectricity and the historic role it has played in the Niagara Frontier.
This afternoon your Niagara Falls adventure comes to an end as you journey back home.
